COAT COLORS WHITE and LEMON

WHITE & LEMON White and lemon Papillons are a very light yellow or cream color. They are sometimes referred to as blonde. White and lemon Papillons will never have any black hairs anywhere on its body. Usually, lemons are born pure white and their yellow color develops over the first 3 weeks of life. This light coat color is caused by the same gene that produces the light shade of color in a lemon sable. However, a lemon sable will have black hairs because it is the result of this dilution gene working on a sable dog while a lemon dog will have no black hairs for it is caused by a dilution of a true red Papillon.
